Position: Design Engineer & Engineering Manager

Are you a passionate and experienced Design Engineer eager to work on innovative projects in the medical and pharmaceutical machinery industry? We are looking for someone like you! In this role, the emphasis is on designing and developing technical solutions for our clients, while also playing a guiding and supportive role within a team of skilled engineers. As a Design Engineer & Engineering Manager, you will lead the design and development of technical solutions from concept to final design. Additionally, you will work closely with colleagues to ensure the quality of our machines and projects. You will be a key player within our engineering team, guiding a team of 7 design and mechanical engineers.

What Will You Do?

While primarily responsible for the technical aspects of projects, you are also expected to coach and support your colleagues when needed, with an eye on both technical and strategic considerations. Your responsibilities are:

  • Design technical solutions for clients, from the concept phase to final design
  • Analyze and assess technical challenges to develop optimal solutions
  • Manage (complex) technical projects
  • Contribute to and assess projects during design reviews
  • Provide coaching and guidance on technical issues within the team
  • Support the development of technical competencies within the team
  • Collaborate with other disciplines to ensure quality improvements and consistency

Requirements

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a similar field
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Design Engineer in machinery
  • Proficiency with 3D-CAD software
  • Strong technical and analytical skills, with attention to detail
  • Creative problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
